Kikuko Young paints mostly landscapes and still life
in watercolor, but she also works on other media. Recently
she has started painting in oil. Kikuko is a figurative
sculptor as well.
She won the
Best of Show for 2003 Madera Arts Council Agriculture
Exhibit. She is the recipient of awards in San Diego
Watercolor Society's International Exhibition, Women
Artists of the West, Society of Western Artists of which
she is a signature member, and other local exhibitions.
Kikuko is the 1993 poster winner of Fresno County Blossom
Trail. She has also exhibited her work for the California
Watercolor Association's National Exhibition in San
Francisco, Fresno Arts Council's National Exhibits,
Madera Arts Council's Agricultural Art Exhibitions and
many other local fine art shows.
Her work
has been represented by The Door Art Gallery, Plums
Contemporary Arts, Rollf's Art Gallery and Fig Garden
Bookstore Gallery.
Kikuko has been a member of The Door Art Gallery since
1999. Her paintings and sculptures including the commissioned
works are part of private collections.
